Vending Machine Operator (with driving experience)

Introduction

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Vending Machine Operator to manage the stocking, maintenance, and servicing of vending machines across designated routes and also assist with driving when required. This role requires a responsible individual with a valid driver’s license who can ensure machines are well‑supplied, clean, and functioning efficiently, while delivering excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive company vehicle to service vending machine routes across Cape Town
• Load, stock, and replenish vending machines with products
• Perform routine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance of machines
• Troubleshoot and report technical issues for repair
• Collect cash, reconcile stock, and maintain accurate records
• Ensure machines are fully operational and meet hygiene standards
• Provide excellent customer service during site visits
• Adhere to company safety and operational procedures

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate (Matric)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Must be able to start immediately
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including after-hours when required
• No criminal record

Preferred / Considerations

• Previous experience in vending machine operation, maintenance, or related technical work is advantageous
• Basic mechanical or technical knowledge will be beneficial
• Strong physical ability, as the role involves lifting and moving heavy stock and equipment
• Preference may be given to male candidates due to the physical demands of the role
